Williamstown croquet club located in Victoria street, Williamstown is the home of mallet sports in the Hobsons Bay area of Melbourne Western Suburbs in Australia. Catchment area also includes the areas of Newport, Footscray, Yarraville, Altona, Seddon, Spotswood, Werribee and Laverton. Members of williamstown Croquet Club play association croquet, golf croquet and gateball both socially and in regular tournaments, competitions and pennant. The club is a friendly environment and features an excellent clubhouse which is used by members and is also a hall for hire to external clubs, families and organisations. Croquet and other mallet sports are games played by striking balls with a mallet through hoops or gates on a grass lawn. The games can be enjoyed by players of all ages, levels of fitness and abilities.



Williamstown Croquet Club nestles in an old-world picturesque setting in the heart of Williamstown. Members have been playing croquet and enjoying social activities at this popular venue for the past 80 years. The club is vibrant and extremely friendly and new members are always welcome.
Clubhouse Association Croquet, Golf Croquet and Gateball are all regularly played on our well-groomed lawns.

At our recent Annual Meeting the membership elected a new Committee for the coming season. The new President is Adrian Masterman-Smith who replaces John Grieve. John stepped down after his 3-year term was completed. Arleene Mansell has taken over as Secretary to replace Elizabeth Kane who has resigned after four terrific years of service. Jean Moran will continue as Treasurer.

Joining Adrian, Arleen and Jean on the Committee will be Lawrie Money, Tony Green, Elizabeth Kane and the newly elected Colin Clark.

The members wish to thank John and Elizabeth for their contributions to the club during their time in office. Both will continue their involvement with the club and work closely with the new executive to ensure the club continues to develop and prosper.
